The tour begins with pick-up at your hotel, the airport or another agreed location in the Porto area. The first stop is a panoramic viewpoint at Serra do Pilar, offering stunning views over the Douro River, the Dom Luís I Bridge and Porto’s UNESCO-listed historic center.
You will then explore Porto’s old town, including the colorful Ribeira district and several of the city’s most famous landmarks. Highlights include São Bento Train Station with its beautiful azulejo tile panels, Porto Cathedral, Clérigos Tower and the iconic Lello Bookstore. A drive along Aliados Avenue and through traditional neighborhoods completes this cultural immersion.
In the afternoon, the tour continues across the river to Vila Nova de Gaia, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Porto from the south bank. A visit to one of Porto’s wine cellars is included, allowing you to learn more about the history and production of Port wine.
