A journey through medieval villages, maritime traditions and Portuguese heritage

Discover three iconic Portuguese cities on a guided day tour from Lisbon: Óbidos, Nazaré and Porto.

The journey begins in Óbidos with a guided tour led by an expert local guide. Completely surrounded by ancient walls and preserving its medieval charm, Óbidos is one of the most famous and visited places in Portugal. Its narrow cobbled streets immediately transport visitors to a medieval atmosphere, with well-preserved old houses, historic buildings and important monuments. Dominating the historic center at the highest point of the village is the Castle of Óbidos, listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.

The visit starts at the main gate of the village and continues through lesser-known streets, including the old Jewish quarter with white-painted houses and excellent photo spots. The walk follows Rua Direita, the most famous street, filled with shops and traditional restaurants, leading to the castle and the town walls, one of Óbidos’ main symbols.

The tour then continues to Nazaré, one of Portugal’s most famous fishing towns. The visit includes Forte de São Miguel, world-renowned for the giant waves that strike the coast during winter and attract surfers from all over the world. The tour proceeds through O Sítio, an area known for its religious buildings, churches, sanctuaries and medieval fortifications, a significant pilgrimage site.

The final stop is Porto. Before the visit, there will be approximately one hour of free time for lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a 1h30 walking tour through Porto’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Douro riverfront, the six bridges, Igreja do Carmo, São Bento Train Station, São Francisco Church and Dom Luís I Bridge.

At the end of the tour, return to central Lisbon, where the guide will provide recommendations for the remainder of your stay.
