Rural Area – Colares
The tour begins along the historic tram line that crosses Sintra’s countryside toward the charming village of Colares. Along the way, you will explore small traditional villages and visit the Colares Cooperative Winery, the oldest in Portugal and home to a unique winemaking tradition.
Sintra Coastline
From Colares, the route continues to Sintra’s spectacular coastline.
Azenhas do Mar, often called the “Santorini of Portugal”, features dramatic cliffs, natural pools and distinctive architecture. We continue towards lesser-known beaches and hidden viewpoints where you can enjoy the essence of Sintra’s Atlantic coast away from the crowds.
Natural Park and Off-Road Trails
Returning to the mountains, we enter the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, where the real off-road adventure begins. Expect rugged trails, sweeping landscapes and an exclusive stop at a secret viewpoint accessible only by jeep, offering unforgettable scenery.
Pena Palace – Guided Visit
After exploring the rural and coastal areas, we head to the iconic Pena Palace for a guided visit. Discover its romantic architecture, rich history and breathtaking surroundings.
Sintra Historic Centre
The day concludes in Sintra’s Historic Centre, where you will have free time to explore charming streets, browse traditional shops or taste local pastries.
