The day begins in Porto, with a comfortable Mercedes van journey along scenic roads leading into the Douro Valley. Along the way, there is a stop at a hidden viewpoint, offering the perfect opportunity to take stunning photos of the landscape.
The first visit is to a charming old winery, where you will learn about viticulture, winemaking processes and wine aging. Discover the technical characteristics of Douro wines and their terroir, followed by a wine tasting that reflects the aromas, flavors and complexity of the region.
Before lunch, enjoy a 1-hour private cruise on the Douro River, complete with snacks and drinks, while sailing through vineyards and dramatic hillsides.
The experience concludes at a second exclusive family-owned winery, where you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked Portuguese lunch paired with the estate’s wines. After lunch, take time to visit the property and experience its authentic and welcoming atmosphere.
